September is Attendance Awareness Month! Here is some information on encouraging regular school attendance for your middle school student.

September is Attendance Awareness Month! School attendance is important to your student's success. Be sure to encourage regular and timely attendance everyday. Being at school increases student achievement. If your student is struggling, please reach out to the school.

Swim team Update. We will have swim team practice M-TH beginning Sept 12th. Monday and Wednesday grades 4-5 from all 3 elem schools will travel to BC. On Tuesday and Thursday Grades 6-7-8 will travel to BC to swim. All elementary students will be bussed to BC from the elementary school they attend . All Middle school students will be bussed from SMS. All students will arrive back to the schools to be picked up before explore ends

Elementary athletic sign ups will continue through Sept 14. if you have not signed up please go to the district website and click departments then athletics. We are accepting sign ups for flag football, volleyball, and swim team at BC. Only grades 4 and 5 are permitted to sign up. NO SIGN UPS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER SEPT 14TH. After Sept 14th teams will be assigned at each school and games will played for 6 Saturdays. Volleyball games at Standard Middle School. Flag Football games at Beardsley Jr High

Athletic tryouts at Standard Middle School are scheduled for tomorrow after school from 3:30-4:45. Volleyball will hold its tryouts for grades 6,7,8 in the GYM. However due to extreme heat warnings flag football tryouts for grades 6,7,8 will be rescheduled for later this week. We will send additional info out as the warnings expire or the temps improve
