Board Vacancy
Trustee Steve Clark has resigned from the Standard School District Board effective April 21, 2026.
As a result of the resignation, the Board of Trustees determined to make a provisional appointment to fill the vacancy in Trustee Area 3 by advertising, interviewing, and selecting an individual for the position. Standard School District has a By-Trustee Area Election System. Visit the Standard School District website School Board page for a map of Trustee Areas.
The District asks individuals interested in serving on the Board of Trustees to submit a letter of intent to the Standard School District Superintendent’s Office by 4:00 p.m., May 18, 2026, with the following information:
- Why are you interested in serving as a member of the Standard School District Board of Trustees?
- What experience and qualities would you bring to the Board?
- What significant information would you like the Board to know, or what issues do you feel are important to the District?
The Board will conduct interviews, and an appointment will be made on the evening of May 26, 2026. These dates and this appointment comply with the legal requirements outlined in California Education Code Section 5091.
